Podium success and two riders in the Top 10 of the championship – KMP Honda Racing Team shines at the ADAC MX Masters in Bitche

The KMP Honda Racing Team experienced an eventful weekend at the ADAC MX Masters in Bitche. On the demanding track in the French Alsace region, which hosted a Masters round for the very first time, the riders had to battle rain and slippery conditions. Despite the challenges, the team celebrated another podium and now has two riders ranked inside the Top 10 of the overall championship.

Jordi Tixier back on the podium

Team leader Jordi Tixier once again underlined his consistency, finishing third overall after three strong motos:

“Unexpected weekend. From the very beginning I had a good feeling on the track. The rain on Saturday made it really tricky. We gave our best in all three motos and ended up third overall. Very close to the win again, but I’m happy with what I’m doing at the moment. Three podiums in four races this year – let’s try to finish strong in two weeks.”

With this result, Tixier moves further up the standings and is firmly placed inside the championship Top 10.

Fighting spirit from Victor Alonso

Victor Alonso had to overcome several setbacks but showed impressive determination:

“Bitche ADAC Masters went ok. Could’ve been a bit more up front but had some bad luck. On Saturday I crashed at the start, came back from last to P9. Sunday 1st race I was 6th catching P5 but had a big crash and finished P8. In the last race I had no energy left and made a big mistake going off track, so ended up P13. Keep working and looking forward for the last race of the championship!”

Alonso also holds a place inside the Top 10 overall standings, with the chance to finish the season on a high note.

Bad luck for Jakub Teresak

Jakub Teresak showed great speed, but two technical issues cost him valuable results:

“The whole weekend I felt good on the track, the speed was there, but let’s say I didn’t have much luck in the races. In the first moto I had a collision in the first lap and had to retire due to technical problems. In the second moto I crashed at the start and in the first lap my chain broke. In the third moto I had a decent start and finished in 8th place. The speed was there for more than 2x DNF, but unfortunately that’s racing sometimes.”

Positive development for Edvards Bidzans

Edvards Bidzans showed clear progress and ended his season on a positive note:

“Definitely an improvement from the last race. I felt good on the track and the speed was definitely there. Sadly not the best qualifying but still lined up P16 for the races. In the races I rode consistent and didn’t make any dumb mistakes but still need to improve my stamina and strength and that will definitely be my main focus point for next year. It was my final ADAC round for this year and a positive way to end it. Massive thanks to the team and all the people in it.”

Tough weekend for Manuel Carreras

Manuel Carreras struggled to find his rhythm but remains motivated:

“Difficult weekend for me, I didn’t have the speed and I struggled a lot the whole weekend because of that. Thank you to all the people in my team and sorry for letting you down. I have to keep pushing to get me where the team wants me. Thank you for still pushing and putting your trust in me. See y’all in the last round.”

Best result of the season for Marius Adomaitis

Marius Adomaitis achieved his personal best result of the season:

“Weekend with ups and downs. On Saturday, I failed to make it to the finals on the first attempt, but in LCQ, I finished P2 between 450 riders (less than 1 sec from the leader in the finish) and P1 in 250. I didn’t finish first race due to technical issues. Second race was good until the half, then dropped the pace pretty badly and finished P21. Third race had a bad start, but managed to keep up the pace the whole race and pass many riders. Finished in P13 which is the best personal race result in this season so far! Happy to end the weekend this way, thank you team!”

Statement from Team Manager Alexander Karg

Alexander Karg, Team Manager of the KMP Honda Racing Team, sums up the weekend:

“The weekend in Bitche was special in many ways – it was the first time the Masters series visited this venue, and the rain and deep conditions really challenged our riders. We’re proud of Jordi’s podium and the fact that we now have two riders placed in the Top 10 of the championship. Even though some of our riders had bad luck with crashes and technical issues, everyone showed fighting spirit and made important steps in their development. Our focus now is on the season finale, where we want to finish the year strong as a team.”
