Mixed Results for Honda Racing at the Manjimup 15,000!

The Berry Sweet Manjimup 15,000, Australia’s premier independent motocross event, delivered mixed results for Honda Racing as Kyle Webster, Brodie Connolly, and Alex Larwood lined up aboard CRF450RWE machines for a demanding eight-race program in a single day, backed by team sponsor Berry Sweet Strawberry Farm.

The event is split into two components: the Berry Sweet Manjimup 15,000 and the Manjimup 15,000 Shootout. Honda Racing riders secured 2nd, 3rd, and 5th in the main event, and 1st and 3rd in the Shootout.

Kyle Webster claimed 2nd overall with finishes of 2-1-2-2, despite suffering two crashes that ultimately cost him the win.

“You don’t win when you crash, especially twice in four motos. In one race I came from last to second in just eight laps. I gave it everything, but inconsistency hurt me. The speed was there, but I need to tidy a few things up before we head to Warwick for the next round of the nationals,” said Webster.

Brodie Connolly impressed in his 450 debut with four consistent 3rd-place finishes, earning 3rd overall.

“I’ve had minimal time on the 450, and it’s definitely a bike you have to respect. I kept the bigger picture in mind with the nationals coming up. The 450 demands more over race distance compared to the 250, so I rode within my limits,” Connolly explained.

Alex Larwood echoed a similar experience in his first outing on the 450, finishing 5th overall.

“With so little time on the 450, I wasn’t ready to push too hard. I focused on learning and enjoying the experience. It’s an incredible event and I’d love to come back,” said Larwood.

Brodie Connolly claimed victory in the high-intensity Shootout aboard his Polyflor-backed CRF450RWE, winning after four consecutive sprint races. Kyle Webster rounded out the podium in 3rd.

“That was wild—four back-to-back sprint races. I surprised myself. I just dug deep and let instinct take over. It was intense but so much fun. Great to take the win,” said an elated Connolly.

The team would like to extend a special thank you to the Yewers family and their incredible Berry Sweet Strawberry Farm business, based in Western Australia that produce products for Australia and countries throughout the world. Their support made our participation possible, and we were proud to have them as a team partner and they were also the event’s naming rights partner. It’s clear they share Honda’s deep passion for racing, the riders, and the sport itself.
