The Supermoto world championship stops in Sardinia on the Tramatza track, a very technical circuit with two dirt sections which increase the difficulty, Marc Schmidt concludes an almost perfect weekend with two heat victories and a second place, finishing on equal points in the overall standings but he is second on the podium.
In testing Marc Schmidt was the fastest in every session and had the best time on the super pole, unfortunately the German made a small mistake in the first part of the circuit and had to settle for third place on the grid. Erik Provaznik finishes with the eleventh time and Mitja Krasniqi 14th.
At the start of the first heat Marc gets off to a very good start and immediately takes second place behind the race leader, Schmidt immediately breaks the deadlock and takes the lead on the second lap and with one heat without exaggerating so as not to make mistakes he takes home the first win of the weekend. Erik Provaznik 12th and Mitja Krasniqi 14th.
The Fast Race sees a less than perfect start for Marc who in the early stages of the race has to settle for third position, but the German with an exceptional first part of the race takes the lead on the fifth of the twelve scheduled laps, Schmidt takes home the second win of the weekend. Good race by Mitja Krasniqi who managed to improve and finish in ninth place, Erik Provaznik 13th.
In the last heat of the day we were in suspense until the last lap, Marc Schmidt got off to a great start from first position, in the Super Final the starting order is based on the finish of the Fast Race, the German led the race for all the first 14 laps, deciding to make the transition to the Joker Line only during the penultimate lap and this decision was fatal, Schmidt was overtaken in the exit, finishing in second place. Mitja Krasniqi finishes 10th and Erik Provaznik 11th.
Marc Schmidt ended his race on equal points with his opponent but due to his placing in the last race he climbed to the second step of the podium.
