A weekend at the forefront in two locations!

Involved the same weekend at the Motocross of Nations and at the opening round of the French beaches series, team Ship To Cycle Honda Motoblouz SR shine in both locations, to end the MX season with a good result and start the beach races with good results too!

More than 40000 spectators were in Ernée for the MXoN, and they all see Valentin Guillod and the Honda #27 takings the holeshot of the second race! Fifth of this heat MX2-Open and fifteen of the Open-MXGP race, Valentin was a strong member of the Swiss team which finished sixth of the event, tight in the point with Belgium. The weekend wasn’t as good for team Finland classified eighteenth, with a twenty-eight position and a DNF for Emil Weckman.

The opening round of the CFS took place on the beach of Berck, where Cyril Genot was all weekend long fighting in front; winner of his qualifying races and first leader of the main event he was fighting for the win until a collision with a lapped rider. Losing time, he finished second of the race three positions ahead of Lars Van Berkel who qualified fourth and finished fifth in the main event. Back racing three months after a knee surgery, Jeremy Hauquier improved his results all weekend long to score an eighth position.

Josse Sallefranque: “Very happy with the MX des Nations, whether it was the event itself or the results of Valentin who signed his third holeshot of the year, putting our Honda at the forefront. He achieved a great day and allowed Switzerland to finish 5th tied with Belgium. It was more difficult for Emil who had a few crashes and a small technical problem in the second race. In Berck we saw a very fast Cyril Genot, who won his two qualifying heats and was fighting for the win until he crashed due to a lapped rider ; he loses time but finishes second not far from Milko, that’s really positive! Lars finishes fifth, Berck is not his favorite race format with short heats. Jeremy Hauquier gained momentum throughout the weekend, do not forget that he had a knee surgery three months ago; he finished eighth in the main event, next round in two weeks at Magescq.”
