Honda Racing Gears Up for Pre-Championship Shakedown!

The Factory Honda Team is gearing up for this weekend’s MX OPEN, presented by Honda. In the MX1 class, Kyle Webster and Wilson Todd will take on the competition aboard their Boost Honda and Terrafirma Honda CRF450R’s. For Todd, this marks the initiation of a new chapter as he sets his sights on the MX1 championship for the first time in his illustrious career.
“It was time to make the change from the 250 to 450, and I feel comfortable and confident on the Honda, believing I can achieve some new goals,” said Todd.
Honda has strategically positioned three title contenders in their 250 program, with Alex Larwood, Brodie Connolly, and Noah Ferguson leading the charge for Honda’s MX2 campaign. Recognising the legacy of six consecutive championships across Supercross and Motocross in the 250 class, Connolly, in his second year with the team, acknowledges the added pressure to perform.

“Honda has won 6 championships back-to-back in the 250 class, and we all know what’s expected from us. The bike has proven itself here in Australia and in America. I feel I am ready to chase the championship, and I know my teammates won’t make it easy,” said Connolly. This weekend, powerhouse female rider Charli Cannon will sit out to recover from leg surgery. Despite competing and winning for Australia in the Oceanic Championship just last week, the team has made the decision to allow Charli the time to fully recover before returning to racing.
