Van Horebeek 7th overall in MXGP France

Just after the MXGP of Spain we headed to France for the 10th round of the FIM Motocross World Championship on the legendary venue of Ernee. Last time we visited the “Circuit Raymond DEMY” was in 2017 when Jerre ended 5th overall in the GP, in 2015 Jeremy was 3rd in the Motocross of nations with team Belgium. We had heavy rain on saturday what made the track very muddy and tricky. Despite the extremely track conditions our Belgian rider decide to start in the qualifying race, while many other riders who had been adversely affected did not. The Jerre put in a great performance ending in excellent second positioin the qualifying race.

It stayed dry during the night from Saturday to Sunday, and thanks to the hard work of the organisers to fix the track, the Sunday races could be held as normal.

Thanks to the 2nd place in the qualifying race he had an excellent position at the start of the first race. In the first corner he could avoid a crash that involved many riders what brought him in the top 5. Immediately he found the right pace on his factory Beta RX 450 and thanks to his determination he ended the race in a great 6th position.

By the start of the second race he couldn’t find a gap and went in the first lap in 10th position. Riding simular lap times as the top 5 brought him in a 7th position but in the last lap he was overtake bij Jonass and end the second race in 8th position what was good for a 7th overall and still 9th in the World Championship standings. Now we moves on to Germany, for the next GP to be held on 11 and 12 June in Teutschenthal.
